Mark Krupnik, PhD

Mark is one of North American top experts and entrepreneurs in the field of advanced AI technologies. He brings over two decades of leadership experience in building and delivering state-of-the-art enterprise solutions for retailers.

 

Prior to Retalon, Mark has consulted over 30 large retailers across North America & Europe and authored new programs in Retail Technologies and Retail Information Systems for the School of Retail Management at Ryerson University.

 

Mark has written 13 published scientific articles and has been a speaker at over 15 international scientific conferences. He is a member and contributor to Forbes Technology Council, and a contributor to Entrepreneur.com

Joseph Sheinis, PhD

Joseph is a technology visionary with more than 30 years of experience of leadership in enterprise software development. His consistent forward-thinking approach and ability to build and execute strategic technology roadmaps has attracted top talent to Retalon and resulted in the robust, flexible and intelligent architecture of Retalon’s platform.

 

Joseph obtained a Ph.D. in Operations Research in 1991. Joseph’s Post Doctoral project was on the design of a new warehouse management system for a major retail organization. Joseph is a Professional Engineer (designation in 1997) and a SUN Microsystems Certified Enterprise Java architect. He has 3 patents in Enterprise Java Applications Architecture and 9 published scientific articles.

Jean-Philippe Vorsanger (JP)

Jean-Philippe is an accomplished Technology Executive and Consultant with over 20 years of success in managing retail technology companies and assisting retail customers with Supply Chain planning and enterprise software selection and implementation.

 

Prior to Retalon Jean-Philippe was the President of Stirling Douglas Group, later called DCM and acquired by Teradata. He was a senior executive at Deloitte and Capgemini as well as the COO at TXT Retail.

 

Jean-Philippe oversees Retalon’s operations and delivery processes to ensure effective delivery of Retalon solutions to customers. He holds a BSc. in electrical engineering and an MBA.

Nick Pachnev

As a CIO Nick is responsible for data security, IT governance, corporate affairs, and risk management for IT systems.

 

Nick spent over 20 years launching, managing, and advising enterprise software companies in CTO, CFO, and CEO roles.  His experience includes building, implementing, and scaling leading B2B SaaS platforms used by SMEs, multinational corporations, and financial institutions.

 

Nick has studied robotics engineering and artificial intelligence and holds a business administration degree.

Mark Kalp

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in building software development teams, Mark oversees Retalon’s development, QA, information systems, and security teams responsible for building world-class retail analytics enterprise systems.

 

Mark is instrumental in building, motivating, and leading Retalon’s rapidly growing development team to build rich user experiences, improving usability of Retalon products, enhancing user-facing modules and executing the technology roadmap.

 

Mark has a Master’s degree in Engineering.

James ensures customer success through his Project Management (PMP), Continuous Improvement (Lean 6-sigma), and Change Management background.

 

As a University of Toronto, Engineering Science graduate, James brings a diverse set of experiences & perspectives to the Retalon Profession Services organization.

Vlad Illinov

Vlad is a retail entrepreneur turned marketing professional — bringing a unique perspective and leadership experience to Retalon.

 

Prior to Retalon, Vlad was the lead strategist at JumpFactor, one of Canada’s top marketing agencies. Where he led a team of over 30 marketing professionals working with SaaS technology companies across North America.

 

At Retalon Vlad leads the marketing team and oversees multi-touch programs that lead to brand exposure, increased product sales, as well as strategic partner relationships with media, retailers, researchers & consultants.

Yana Tcharnaia 

VP, Sales

Yana Tcharnaia is responsible for leading the sales team and creating and executing sales strategies. Prior to Retalon, Yana was the Director of Sales at Constellation Software, Canada’s largest software company, where she built and led a team of BDR, account executives, and pre-sales.

 

Yana received her BA in Business Management from McMaster University.

 

She is passionate about understanding customer needs, finding solutions to help retailers grow their businesses, and building long-term strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with prospects, customers, and partners.

Mark Canning

Mark Canning is responsible for leading the Microsoft Partnership & Channels Business Development team and the strategies and execution for growing Retalon’s retail & CPG client base.
Prior to Retalon, Mark has held senior channel & direct selling roles with Microsoft, NCR Retail, Toshiba Global Commerce, HP, AST, Bell Enterprise, Qnext Corp & NEC.
Mark is an active volunteer in the local community & supporter of small business and recently received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for community work . Mark received his BA from the University of Guelph.

Yan Krupnik

As VP of Marketing & Communications, Yan is responsible for developing and implementing multi-touch marketing programs that lead to brand exposure, increased product sales, as well as strategic partner relationships with media, retailers, researchers & consultants.

Zev Berkovich

Director, Integration & Analytics

Zev has extensive retail industry experience, with strong analytical and software development skills. He is responsible for bridging the gap between the technical and business side, bringing all teams successfully to the same goal.

 

Zev has worked on and overseen many successful integrations, and has worked with several dozen systems & environments to seamlessly integrate Retalon’s solutions. Zev graduated with High Honours from Seneca College at York University, and has won awards in several national mathematics contests.

David Wiest

David has over 25 years experience working at all levels of retail with major 1,000+ store chains. From Sales & Store Operations, Purchasing, Store Replenishment & Allocation, Store Design & Construction, to managing the Franchise division he has excelled at all.

 

This broad experience has given David a well balanced experience that touches on all sides of the retail process. Winning multiple awards for excellence throughout his career David has been responsible for significant gains in sales, profit and productivity thanks to initiatives he’s implemented.

Amanda Vomacka

Director, Consulting

Amanda has 18 years of retail industry experience. She spent the first ten years of her career in advanced analytical roles with tier 1 Apparel and Consumer Packaged Goods companies, followed by eight years with one of the largest global retailers where she worked in Buying, Merchandise Planning, and Planogram Planning.

 

She is responsible for partnering with customers to ensure successful software implementation. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Business Administration from the Ivey Business School.
