Mark Krupnik, PhD

CEO, President


Mark brings over two decades of leadership experience in building and delivering state-of-the-art solutions for retailers. Prior to Retalon, Mark has consulted over 30 large retailers across North America & Europe in implementing advanced forecasting & replenishment systems, and authored new programs in Retail Technologies and Retail Information Systems for the School of Retail Management at Ryerson University. Mark has written 13 published scientific articles and has been a speaker at over 15 international conferences. In 2002 drawing on strong mathematical background and retail technology experience he co-founded Retalon to implement his vision of an advanced Predictive Analytics solution for retail.

Joseph Sheinis, PhD



Joseph obtained a Ph.D. in Operations Research in 1991. Joseph’s Post Doctoral project was on the design of a new warehouse management system for a major retail organization. Joseph is a Professional Engineer (designation in 1997) and a SUN Microsystems Certified Enterprise Java architect. He has 3 patents in Enterprise Java Applications Architecture and 9 published scientific articles. Joseph has more than 15 years of experience of leadership in enterprise software development.

Dianne McCoubrey

VP of Sales


Dianne McCoubrey brings to Retalon more than 17 years in global sales. She is responsible for driving growth and customer success for Retalon. Dianne began her career at CIBC (one of Canada’s largest banks) where she spent years in leadership roles. She is a veteran in the information technology market and has held key management roles in Sales, Customer Excellence, Product and Project Management.

Jeff Coull

Director of Professional Services


Jeff graduated from Mount Allison University, and spent his early career at Holt Renfrew (Canada’s leading high-end fashion retailer) where he worked in Planning, Buying, Inventory Management and IT. Having worked on the client and vendor side for complex software implementations Jeff is acutely aware of client challenges & concerns and serves as the liaison between Retalon and its customers. Jeff is responsible for all sides of professional services from business discovery to training and UET.

David Wiest

Director of Professional Services


David has over 25 years experience working at all levels of retail with major 1,000+ store chains. From Sales & Store Operations, Purchasing, Store Replenishment & Allocation, Store Design & Construction, to managing the Franchise division he has excelled at all. This broad experience has given David a well balanced experience that touches on all sides of the retail process. Winning multiple awards for excellence throughout his career David has been responsible for significant gains in sales, profit and productivity thanks to initiatives he’s implemented.

Mark Kalp

Director of Development


Mark has over 20 years of experience in user interface design & development, with more than 15 years in Retail specific environments. He is responsible for providing Retalon users with a rich experience, improving usability of Retalon products, and enhancing user satisfaction with the software. Mark has a Master’s degree in Engineering

Zev Berkovich

Director of Integration


Zev has extensive retail industry experience, with strong analytical and software development skills. He is responsible for bridging the gap between the technical and business side, bringing all teams successfully to the same goal. Zev has worked on and overseen many successful integrations, and has worked with several dozen systems & environments to seamlessly integrate Retalon’s solutions. Zev graduated with High Honours from Seneca College at York University, and has won awards in several national mathematics contests.

Yan Krupnik graduated from Ryerson University, majoring in Marketing Management. As VP of Marketing & Communications, Yan is responsible for developing and implementing multi-touch marketing programs that lead to brand exposure, increased product sales, as well as strategic partner relationships with media, retailers, researchers & consultants.
